Long Distance Musher
This Husky tour is designed for those hungry to experience more extreme sledding, to witness the Northern Lights on the Finnmarksvidda during the mystical Polar Nights; that cover the surrounding landscape in a blue gray hue, reflecting nature and resisting hibernation.
During the winter season, you can actively participate in our training schedule as a long distance musher. The dogs undergo intensive training with long stages, short breaks and during the longer training stages you will witness an endless solitude where the silence is only disturbed by the distinctive sound of the Grouse calling alongside the intoxication of a pure cold winter experience. You will lose all sense of time being alone with the dogs ; this unusual sense of freedom, being in the nature with total relaxation, you can only experience with a Husky team.
After each training stage we stop in the trail (under the open sky) or a cabin. After the dogs are supplied with everything they need, its the mushers turn to have a good time at the fireside, tasting reindeer and dreaming of a sleeping bag ready from the next training ride under the dancing northern lights.
For advanced mushers wishing to take in some racing atmosphere, this tour is an unforgettable experience.
